To be able to add books, your account must have admin priviledges or a librarian priviledges.
Register A Book
To register a book you need information about the book.
- On the main menu, you will find a menu option named Books, clicking on this option to navigate to the books page.
- At the right-hand corner of the page, you will find a drop down button tagged Add Books. clicking this option displays a drop-down menu with links tagged Hard Copy and E-Book
- To add a hard copy book click Hard Copy Or click E-book to add an E-book.
Adding Hard Copy Book
To add a Hard Copy book, You should have created at least a free subscription plan (a free subscription plan should have a price of zero naira) and a location in the locations page.
After clicking hard copy. you will be redirected to a page with a form to add books
- Fill in the appropriate information for the book ( You can not use one isbn number for more than one book. The isbn number is used ad the identity of the book)
- The book cover must also be a jpg or png file. (The larger the size (in megabyte) of the book cover the longer it takes to upload the book).
- After filling the book information , add it to a location.( If you select multiple location for the book, multiple copies of the book will be added for each location)
- Click the save button to submit the infomation.
You should see an alert after after submission similar to the one below
Adding E-Book
You do not need a subscription plan or location to add an E-book
- Fill in the appropriate information for the book ( You can not use one isbn number for more than one book. The isbn number is used ad the identity of the book)
- If the book is a free book, enter 0 (Zero) for the price. If its not a free book, enter the price of the book.
- The book cover must also be a jpg or png file. (The larger the size (in megabyte) of the book cover the longer it takes to upload the book).
- To upload a file for the e-book, select file for the ebook source. to add a link select link.
- The book file must either be in pdf, epub or mobi format . (The larger the size (in megabyte) of the book file the longer it takes to upload the book).
- Click the save button to submit the infomation.
You should see an alert like the one below if the submission was successfull
